A useful furniture RFQ describes the product, the intended use and the quantities you are considering. It helps a sourcing team understand what needs to be clarified before suppliers can prepare comparable proposals.
Describe the product clearly
Start with the furniture type and how it will be used. For a bed, describe the intended size and configuration. For a table, identify the dimensions, structure and finish you need. Explain whether you have a specific model in mind or are open to alternatives.
Separate requirements you already know from details that still need advice. For example, a target dimension may be fixed while the material remains open for discussion. This distinction helps avoid treating a preliminary preference as an agreed specification.
Add materials and finish requirements
If you know the material, state it as precisely as you can. If you do not, describe the appearance, use and performance you want rather than guessing a wood species or material grade. Include colour, coating or surface preferences where relevant.
Identify any critical differences between similar products. The same photograph can leave important details unresolved, such as hardware, panel thickness, construction or the way a product is assembled.
Give a quantity and destination
State the estimated quantity and whether it represents an initial purchase or a longer-term plan. An estimate is useful even when it is still subject to revision. Avoid assuming that a catalogue's range or a factory profile confirms the MOQ for your particular request.
Include the destination country. Packaging, documentation, transport planning and product requirements depend on the shipment and market. Confirm any destination-specific requirements with the appropriate specialists before placing an order.
Explain packaging and timing
Describe whether you need assembled furniture, flat-pack packaging or another arrangement. Mention product labels, instructions and protective packaging if they are relevant.
If timing matters, explain the target date and what it represents: sample availability, production completion, shipment or arrival. These are different milestones. A target date in an RFQ is not an accepted delivery commitment.
Leave a reliable contact
The YANCE RFQ requires your name and email. Company, WhatsApp, quantity, destination country and an additional message are optional. Share the contact details you want YANCE to use when clarifying your request.
The launch form accepts text only. You can describe a reference product or catalogue model in the product field. Do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.
A practical starting outline
Write your requirements in this order: product type and use; dimensions and configuration; material and finish; estimated quantity; packaging; destination; and target milestone. Mark any unknown details as open questions.
